Makeup theory: Brushes

10:50 PM

Halloween has just passed and I've made some looks which probably I will show you later, though I can tell who were characters I've made:
Pumpkin King
Darth Maul
Cheshire cat
Joker
Big mouth clown
Zombie
Punisher skull
Absinthe fairy
Doll
Spider Quinn

And now I'm continuing the theory! It's helpful and may solve some problems with makeup.

Brushes!
Its all about the brushes we use.

In my real life I'm using about 10-11 brushes to create the makeup. And yes, this is quite much, and many beauty blogs recommend only 8 basics brushes for your every day makeup routine:
1. Foundation brush
2. Concealer brush
3. Fluffy powder brush
4. Blush brush
5. Small blending brush
6. Flat eyeshadow brush
7. Precision angle brush
8. Lip brush

I don't agree with this cause I'm not using concealer brush and lip brush at all. I don't like lipsticks and I prefer sponge/beauty blender for my concealer.

In this case my minimum recommended brushes are:
Rounded at the top foundation brush
Contour brush
Fluffy blush brush
Small blending brush for eyeshadow
Flat eyeshadow brush
Angled brush for brow powder
Beauty blender

I'm applying my foundation or BB cream with rounded foundation brush which is more comfortable for me than the flat one.

Then I blend foundation with beauty blender or cosmetic sponge.

After that I apply concealer and blend it with beauty blender again.
The next step is angled contour brush and fluffy brush for bronzer and blush.
Then I use angled brush with brow powder by korean 'Angel Mask' and Naked 3 two sided brush for eyeshadow. I also apply eyeliner with another small angled brush, then mascara, sometimes highlighter if I like and fix it with transparent powder.

Later I will add a photo of all my brushes for makeup routine but I assure you they are very comfortable things to use and all of them are based on my own experience in makeup.
