Haven't seen you in a long long time! Gosh I missed this activity so much.
Today I decided to tell you a little about myself. I can see some readers though you are not constant in here because simply I'm not such a good blogger with proper schedule and great photos.

My name is Valeria, nice to meet you.
I'm technician, front end developer to be more precise. I'm 23 years old and I live in Central Asia.
With the little spare time I have huge amount of hobbies and things that I love to do. I would love to share those little things with you and might be it will help to understand me better.

In today's post I'm going over my impression on BH cosmetics haul.


I really like this makeup brand as its pretty cheap yet still very good quality.

For those of you who prefer videos - here's the video review I've made.



For text lovers like me:
Lets begin with Makeup by Mandy 24 palette which was going to be my everyday palette but didnt really work as I was expecting.
The one you see second on the second row is not really brown, its blackish-brown with golden shimmer, not really pretty in my opinion. I like top two shades which are light and have shimmer in it, they are great for inner corner when you need to add a highlight and the last one in upper row is matte yellow-light ivory. None of them can really be used on the lid if you want something calm. Brown colors are way too warm for pale skin and black one is out of review as its just nice black color and thats all about it. I dont think its useful palette for pale girls and I wont be using it much, might be 2-3 shades with some other colors and nothing more.
BH liquid liner is amazing, I got the other one in purple and love it. Might transfer on to the crease when its too hot but in other cases - just awesome.

Next palette is Wild Child which is baked eyeshadow in the most calm colors among this series.
The palette has 9 baked eyeshadow shades and its really awesome. The only one problem I found - most of them look way too similar on the lid. Anyways its really nice palette and I like to use it from time to time as it gives that smooth silky finish with a bit of sparkle.

Its been a looong time since I posted the video. There was a problem with my hardware of PC. The problem mainly in that the hardware was old and needed an upgrade which I did and feel happy now!


So the new video includes my handmade lighting - soft box made out of cardboard and foil with a day light lamp - works niice. If you want me to write about the process of making it please leave a comment to let me know.

Sugar skulls are pretty simple in design. Basic skull shape and some swirls - look to go. I've used white as its not as common as other skulls and looks much lighter than others to be honest. Glazed look was achieved by putting some highlighter in a places where you usually highlight your face so in the light white skull looks so yummy and fresh xD

Getting back to tutorial:
I put the BH cosmetics liquid foundation in a shade light rose - its 2 tones darker than the foundation I would normally use on my pale skin. Its more like taned skin with pink undertone.

Then I applied my eyeshadow which are BH cosmetics 'Party Girl After Hours' palette. Nice, pigmented and soft eyeshadow.

To draw a skull you should outline shapes you want with brown pencil: eye sockets, skull nose and cheeks are necessary, other things are up to you, I've done few swirls and hearts all around the design so its not difficult and you still have both of your eyes to rock any eyeshadow look.
Then take a liquid eyeliner in white or jumbo milk pencil or just like me - take Mehron paradise white aqua color aaaand fill in all the lines, just repeat them, dont have to be super accurate covering brown as if its left it will be a nice shadow for you white.

Next step is a cool toned brown eyeshadow. Use it to give shades to teeth, skull cheeks, nose (even though its wrong for skull itself), eye sockets. Nothing too difficult to do.

Then highlight as you never highlighted before. Bring your inner sparkly unicorn to life. Cheekbones, tip of a nose, forehead, chin - just as normal highlighting in makeup.

The result will be simple, pretty and shiny. And you can always wear it with any type of eye makeup. If you need you can wash off your lines and here you go - rockin eyeshadow look.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer (mini)I'm in love with it. Seriously it makes the skin so smooth and soft like you're not a human at all. The main issue for me that the full size costs about 35$ which is pretty much for a primer.

The package is really cute. I love pencils in general as I used to draw a lot and cant resist such a thing. Rich creamy pencil in dark brown shade, I used it as an eyeliner cause I'm a bit afraid of cream eyeshadow. Good as a kohl pencil as well and you can even line your lips with it, wont be bad with caramel or coffee lipstick.
The last thing is the makeup bag itself which is pretty. I thought that it would have a bit more dense texture but its soft.
This is pretty all for this bag. Next glam bag is coming to me by the end of this month as ipsy ships everything approximately in a middle of a month.

Hi everyone!

This is a really short post.

I found out that the lip art uses almost everything artist can get - glitter and glitter dust, some objects and small cute beads and etc etc etc. but I've tried to incorporate special effects into it.
And it came out nicely! I've sculpted a rose out of Ben Nye nose and scar wax, then sealed it and colored with Wolfe FX water activated paints. The art was done as an entry for #jessika7kchallenge by @Wallflower_artistry .

So here's a little article about my experience with liquid latex. I bought Cinema Secrets liquid latex in flesh, 16oz. You can get the same in here -> Cinema Secrets liquid latex on amazon



It smells awful, dries too fast for newbies and its really sticky - thats the bad part of it.
It looks like thick yogurt with bubbles as you should shake it well before use. When it dries it becomes transparent and matches any skin tone. Doesn't cause any irritations even on sensitive skin - which is awesome as I have sensitive skin. One thing it has done with my skin - small redness area which gone easily few hours later.

You don't really need anything before applying it. Just try to keep skin clean and thats pretty all. The good thing is that you may not worry about thin edges as it just rolls away with fingers. Don't put directly on any hair if you don't want to get rid of it, firstly apply some glue stick like Drag Queens do it or just an oil(olive, almond or any other oil).  I was using glue stick version.



I wont recommend to use it with some heavy materials as this particular latex wont hold them. In case of using it with fake zombie teeth or something heavier than tissue paper use spirit gum + scar wax + liquid latex.

The process of usage is quite simple. Get some artistic palette or anything that will hold liquid, pour a small amount of latex into it, spread on necessary areas with sponge, I strongly recommend not to use your beauty blender, take at least a simple makeup sponge which you don't need as latex will cover it with crumbs and it will be pretty spoiled, same story with makeup brushes.

I took small 'tubes' of paper, covered area where I wanted to put them with latex, then attached paper and covered it couple times with latex again. And here what I've got at the end.


You can color latex with aqua colors or cream colors - will look similarly nice. 'Mask' takes off easily but don't rush while doing it.

Glad to see you again! Today is a day of the post about my special effects adventures during which I learn how to do interesting things which are easy, don't require much money but look realistic.

Honestly I don't remember the particular day I filmed this tutorial and they come randomly on a channel, its hard to set proper schedule for them but anyways I'm doing my best.


I'm trying to mix face painting with special effects to achieve the realistic look with quite inexpensive stuff.
At the moment I'm using Wolfe FX monster pallette and its just awesome for sfx, also the price is about 20$ so it worth everything.

Getting back to tutorial. Its really simple, the main problem is to paint it realistically. So try to add small amount of paint at a time, its always easier to add than to remove. Firstly as a result of makeup I was thinking that I met some werewolf with acid saliva so he spitted on me while trying to cut my head with his paw but just left scratches.

Good news everyone! (Professors voice included)

I'm back with a tutorial which is very simple and consists of two parts.

The first part is a fresh bleeding wound which done with gelatin and its inspired by the scar of Tyrion Lannister which he got in a Battle of Blackwater.



How to make own gelatin for special effects?
Well, its quite an easy thing after all. I thought it would be more difficult.
1 spoon of powdered gelatin mixed with 1 spoon of glycerin and 1.5 spoons of clear water. Mix well in a microwave safe container and bring to a microwave or you can use a double boiler. Set 8 seconds, then stir the mixture, then other 8 seconds an stir again till its all liquid and hot. Dont wait for too long as this thing sets up quickly so you have to work fast but dont start applying it immediately as you may get real burns.


So I mixed that thing and applied it with a thin layer on my presketched wound. When it sets a bit, about in 5 minutes I covered it with translucent powder. *Dreaming to buy some Ben Nye neutral powder* And then the wound starts. Try to 'cut' through the applied gelatin with some tool with not too sharp edge as we dont want to damage the skin. Then add some black paint inside the gelatin, on top of it apply red paint and we can start with some sfx blood which you can actually make yourself too!
And its done! Literally nothing more than this. The blood bleeds and be careful with it as it might color your clothes.

Today is the last weeks post which I had doubts about but now decided to announce cause, hey, I'm learning and shouldnt be afraid to show my new experience to people. Probably you would notice my mistakes and wont repeat them on your own. So its a good thing anyway.

This post is about metal things! I love metal things! I'm technician after all. So I decided to do a metal makeup, kind of robot or something like that. Apologize for no talking, I will surely fix this moment later. I was creating the video properly with subtitles and things like that and damn! my pc decided it wont work so it spent 9 hours and done nothing. (Bad PC, very bad).
Oh, youtube allows to add subs in a video so let me try dat thing!

Now about the makeup. I found my inspiration in an art of a robo girl with that exact colors which I used.
